I have been a practising artist for over 20 years, since studying art at KIAD Maidstone in the 90s.
My work often explores themes around young girls, women’s rights, sexism, environmental issues, and animal rights.
As an artist and illustrator I try to capture both the beauty and horror of the world around me, and am constantly searching for new ways to capture in two dimensions the complexity of humankind.
As an expressive cartographer, I take conventional maps and then deconstruct, redraw and reinterpret them into something new, trying to explore the hidden beauty of these cartographic landscapes. I use a combination of pen drawing, lino printing, screen printing, digital painting and collage to create each map.
With a background in Fine Art, and having graduated with First Class honours for a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, I use a combination of both disciplines to create unique designs and artworks. By utilising my understanding of both digital art and raw materials I hope to create work that speaks to people with a unique and nuanced voice.
